The Project

We have now formed as a Charity and have a community Bank account set-up. A constitution has been created, and a Management Committee formed. Everything is now in place for us to apply for grants to assist with our project.

The Fort is a Scheduled Monument with Historic England. To conduct any work at the Fort, authorisation has to be granted by the Secretary of State. We have a “Scheduled Monument Consent” already from the Secretary of State in force, which is in place for the next five years.

We already have a number of Volunteers who are willing to assist us in the Littlehampton Fort’s restoration project. We are still looking for more to help!
