Almost cleared to ground level, today you can see ALL 4 Shell Recesses at the same time, last seen like this in the 60s. Started on Gun Emplacement No 4 , Good dig band bulge clearance, another 3 bags filled, present to day were Rangers Dave Maw,Ian Howlett, Michael Geen and Brain Baskerville.
It was also good to see Vicky Rhodes on a visit, good luck with the elbow injury.
On this day, team, we finish the ground clearance of Gun Emplacement No 3 then we start Gun Emplacement No4 and clear the vegetation in front of Shell Recess No2. Remember the old chinese saying team: Many hands make fort ground clear.
At last we have cleared Gun Emplacement No3, plus Shell Recess No2, so that means we have uncovered to ground level all 4 shell recesses, and Nos 2 and 3 Gun Emplacements.
A huge well done today to Ian Howlett, Michael Geen, and Dave Maw saving the big big well done to Brian Baskerville, good digging and banter a true Ranger in the making.
